I have taught many versions of this idea while teaching in person and now am so excited to finally add it to my virtual program. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice an integrated learning philosophy. We will be learning about animals around the world, of course, but so much more. We will be integrating geography, science, social studies, history, reading, writing, speaking, and more. I will have animals that I will be presenting to the group, but I want the group to be very involved in what we learn about as well. So each participant will get to choose an animal to be learning about and reporting back information about to the group each week. That being said, I want to say a word here about participation in my classes. I will never put anyone on the spot or force anyone to participate in a way that makes them feel anxious or uncomfortable. We can always find a way for everyone to take part in a way that works for them. I am so excited to learn about animals together!
